Bury Wedding Photographer

Two Weddings, Two Bury Venues, One Way of Working

Hi, I am Rebekah, a Bury wedding photographer based just down the road in Ashton-under-Lyne. In recent years I have had the pleasure of photographing two Bury weddings, a registry office ceremony at Bury Town Hall and a heartfelt church wedding at Metro Christian Centre. Both days were different in size and setting, yet each one called for the same thing from me, quiet attention, organisation and patience with the family formals, and a genuine understanding of what the day meant to the couple in front of me.

Some of the couples I photograph are marrying within their Christian faith, and I understand that a wedding like this carries a weight far beyond the celebration itself. It is a promise made before God, in front of the people who matter most. I bring genuine care and respect to every ceremony I am trusted to photograph, whatever form your day takes, whether that is a church service, a registry office ceremony, or something entirely your own. You can read more about the heart behind my work on my About Me page.

The photographs I care about most are rarely the ones that happen by accident. The moment vows are exchanged. Three generations of one family gathered together for a single portrait. The image you will eventually have printed and hung where you see it every day. These take a little time and attention to get right, and I give them exactly that.

Family Formals Given Proper Time, Couple Portraits Done Properly

Some couples want their photographer to hang back and catch whatever happens. Others want someone who will gather the family together, arrange them with care, and make sure the portrait actually looks the way everyone hoped it would. If you are the second kind of couple, we will get along well.

I take real time over your family groupings, working through them steadily so grandparents, parents, siblings, and children are all photographed properly, with nobody missed and nobody rushed. Your couple portraits get the same attention, composed rather than grabbed on the move. None of this feels stiff on the day itself. I keep things calm and unhurried, so the results look natural even though real thought has gone into them.

If you would like to see this approach in practice, both of my Bury weddings are below.

The Style You Can Expect From Your Bury Wedding Photographer

I shoot classically. That means no heavy filters, no styling for the sake of it, nothing that will look dated in ten years because it was following whatever was fashionable at the time. I want your photographs to look like you, at your wedding, surrounded by the people who love you.

On the day itself, I watch for how the light is falling and where the genuine moments are happening, so I can be ready rather than lucky. Bury Town Hall’s registry office was a lovely example of this. It has been newly renovated with a skylight that fills the room with soft, natural light, making it a genuinely beautiful space to marry in.

“It was the best day of our lives, and you captured it so beautifully. Your photos are absolutely stunning, and you played such a special part in making the day so memorable. We honestly couldn’t have been happier.”

Weddings at Bury Town Hall Registry Office and Metro Christian Centre

Both venues I have photographed in Bury have their own character. Bury Town Hall’s registry office suits an intimate, understated ceremony beautifully, with its bright, naturally lit room and pretty gardens close by for portraits afterwards. Metro Christian Centre gave Tom and Leanne’s day a warmth that came through in every image, from a shawl wrapped around their joined hands during the ceremony to the quiet weight of the pastor’s words during the sermon and prayers.

I am always glad to hear from couples marrying at venues I have not yet visited. As a Bury wedding photographer, I will happily visit beforehand so I know exactly how to make the most of it on the day.

Marrying in Bury This Year or Next

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you travel to Bury for weddings?

Yes, absolutely. As a Bury wedding photographer based in Ashton-under-Lyne, I photograph weddings there regularly. There is no additional travel charge for Bury and the surrounding areas.

How does your payment schedule work?

To secure your wedding date, a non-refundable deposit of 30% is required. The remaining balance is then due four weeks prior to your wedding day. I will send you a clear invoice at each stage so there are no surprises.

How do we communicate leading up to the wedding?

I am available via email, phone, and scheduled video or in-person meetings to discuss any details as they arise. I also carry out a dedicated pre-wedding consultation to make sure we are fully aligned on the day’s plans, and a follow-up conversation in the month before your wedding to confirm all final details. I want you to feel completely prepared and at ease.

How long does it take to receive our photos?

The average delivery time is six weeks. Every image is carefully edited to ensure it meets the standard I am proud to put my name to. I will keep you updated throughout, and if I am ever in a position to deliver sooner, I will.

Do you offer photo albums or prints?

Yes. I offer high-quality photo albums and prints, and I would love to help you create something truly beautiful. A printed album is, in my view, one of the most meaningful things you can do with your wedding photographs. We can discuss your options when we meet.

We would love to book you. What is the next step?

Please fill out the enquiry form on my Contact page. If I have availability on your date, I will send you a short questionnaire and arrange a pre-wedding consultation so we can get to know one another properly before you commit to anything.
