I hadn't expected our impromptu trip to Dovestones reservoir to turn out this way. As we strolled around, the thick mist engulfed us, making it impossible to see the reservoir. The mist was so thick, I could almost taste it. It was a surreal experience, the dampness of the air on my skin, and the dewy scent that surrounded us.

As we walked, as if by magic, the mist began to clear, and we were treated to a sight that took our breath away. The trees on the opposite bank were shrouded in a hazy mist, while the water below was still and mirrored the landscape around us. I had been wanting to see and capture mist over Dovestones reservoir for some time. I couldn't believe my luck; this was the shot I'd been dreaming of, and here it was right in front of me.

The mist sat proudly above the water and glided through the trees, while the water was so still and tranquil that it took our breaths away. We stood there, in awe of creation, just taking it all in.
I raised my camera and snapped away, trying to capture every little detail of the scene before me. The stillness of the water, the misty trees, and the surrounding hillsides, all seemed to come together perfectly in this one frame.

We proudly hang this image in our own home. Every time we look at it, we're transported back to that misty morning at Dovestones Reservoir, and we remember the awe-inspiring view that took our breath away. It was a journey that we'll never forget, and one that I'm glad we took.
